GENERAL PORTER – Temporary, Locum Bank Contract – Ref: GEN/E/26/08
Applications are invited for the Temporary Locum Bank position of General Porter
The successful candidate will carry out the full range of Portering duties including general porter’s duties, theatre work and work in the reception areas when required. You may also be required to provide night cover as needed. Duties will vary according to rota arrangements.
Key Requirements for the Position:
- Relevant Hospital Portering experience.
- Excellent customer care, inter-personal and communication skills.
- Excellent team-working skills.
- Motivation and an ability to work on own initiative.
- Adaptability and a flexible working approach.
- Proven organisational skills and an ability to manage crisis situations well.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all dealings with members of the public and hospital staff.
