Day Ward/Endoscopy Unit

The Dayward/Endoscopy Unit is a 13 bedded unit incorporating an admission office and ward area, a recovery and discharge ward, the endoscopy room and decontamination unit and the extramural theatre.

There is a team of 13 nursing and care staff as well as 13 consultant endoscopists and consultant surgeons who perform procedures within the Dayward/Endoscopy Unit.

Services 

We provide care for patients undergoing:

• Endoscopy procedures
• Minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic
• Day surgical procedures under general anaesthetic
