Basic Life Support (BLS) Courses

Presently restrictions have been placed upon training due to the COVID 19 virus and we have postponed all BCLS and ACLS Courses for the present.

Courses will resume again as soon as restrictions have eased and details will be posted on this site for your information.

The BLS for healthcare provider classroom course is ideal for medical, para-medical and allied healthcare professionals. It is designed to assist a wide variety of healthcare professionals to recognise and treat several life-threatening emergencies in a safe, timely and effective manner. It is DVD based and instructor-led. The skills taught include adult and paediatric CPR including two-rescuer scenarios, use of bag valve mask and barrier devices, management of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO), and use of AED’s. The course takes approximately 5.5 hours to complete. and course participants are evaluated by skills testing and a written evaluation using multiple choice questions (MCQ). AHA Course completion cards are given upon successful completion of the course, which are valid for 2 years.
