Dr Myra Fitzpatrick studied medicine at UCD and graduated in 1992. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the National Maternity Hospital, Rotunda Hospital and Queen Mother’s Hospital, Glasgow.
She has run the Perinatal Clinic in the National Maternity Hospital for the past 10 years and has developed a special interest in the medical management of women with obstetric pelvic floor injury. Such injury may result in bowel and bladder incontinence. In the multidisciplinary clinic in St Michaels Hospital, she works closely with the Women’s Health Physiotherapists, Dr Gerry Agnew and Ms Ann Hanly to investigate and provide a complete package of care to women who have pelvic floor compromise.
