‘Leah is a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. She graduated from University College Dublin in 2003 with B.Sc.( Physio). Leah has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in the National Maternity Hospital since 2007 and has been part of the multidisciplinary team at the Pelvic Floor Centre, St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire since it commenced in March 2013.

As well as treating patients with a variety of often complex, multifactorial issues with the bladder or bowel, including painful conditions and sexual issues, Leah enjoys her role in health promotion, meeting women in the year of pregnancy via antenatal education to give good advice on prevention and early management of pelvic floor problems.

Leah has been teaching Pilates since 2006 and has enjoyed taking clients from a rehabilitative level, when recovering from pain or dysfunction, to advanced level exercises. She is a member of the ‘Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health and Continence’ clinical interest group of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is currently on a sub-committee looking into advanced practice for physiotherapists in the area of Women’s Health and Continence.’
