Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Painter. The main function of this post is to carry out painting and decorating works across St. Michael’s Hospital on a temporary basis. This includes preparation and finishing of surfaces, maintenance of painting equipment, and ensuring all work areas are clean, safe, and compliant with hospital infection control policies. The role supports a safe, welcoming, and visually maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Requirements for the Position:
- Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a commercial, institutional, or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Adherence to health and safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet operational needs and work in different areas of the hospital.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to foster positive working relationships across hospital departments.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to undergo relevant ongoing training (e.g., manual handling, infection control.
